Defibrio achieves ISO 13485 & MDSAP certification

Defibrio AS has achieved two major quality management milestones, receiving its EN ISO 13485:2016 certificate and the Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) certificate from Auditing Organization DNV Product Assurance AS.

These certifications validate that Defibrio’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets international regulatory standards for the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of portable Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices across its global facilities in Norway and the United States. Achieving ISO 13485 compliance through DNV represents a foundational step in Defibrio’s mission to save lives by leveraging the power of smartphones to deliver an affordable, easy-to-use, and effective AED.
