In an emergency, you’ll want your defibrillator to be easily accessible. Pick a central location like a kitchen, medicine cabinet, or living room, and show friends and family where it is.
Don’t store the device where it would often be exposed to temperatures below 60°F (15°C) or above 95°F (35°C), like in a vehicle.
We recommend that you collect and store some additional supplies with your AED:
- A pair of scissors to quickly remove clothing in an emergency
- A disposable razor to remove hair that may prevent pads from making good skin contact
- Alcohol wipes to clean off adhesives
- A towel to dry the skin before attaching the pads
- A spare set of Defibrio pads (strongly recommended)
